tea for two

hey, its the odd girl. we made a long trip up to the beautiful Dotty's tea room. lots of fun was had. we had far too much tea! and 2 beautiful and yummy cakes....oh also in the tea room there were lots of old board games stacked up on a shelf. we decided to play guess who? it was so much fun.when we got home we had these hello kitty chocolate eggs.we hope everyone is wonderful! :)
we do. and we also wish that you all had a beautiful valentine's. did you?
this is the sequined girl wishing upon a star that you too would visit the tearoom next time we do. we played so many times with 'guess who?' and i won lots of them. hehe. *sorry odd girl*. we filled our tummies full with tea and tea and tea. oh and those cakes! deliciously delightful.
yes yes we did have those oh so very cute teeny 'hello kitty eggs'. they had the cutest little 'hello kitty's' inside. and the chocolate is half milk and half white with little stars imprinted on it. and the packaging all pink and cute. you must wish for the easter bunny to give you some on that special sunday. we all must.
they too taste great with cups of tea.

woodland adventures whilst dreaming of the perfect edward cullen

i, the sequined girl, whispering to you right at this certain point.
i met the odd girl in the town that separates my cottage and her house. we went for tea and a browse at the shops. i bought some glittery butterflies and a pink feathery masquerade mask which is very faery-like. we ambled to the cinema to watch one of the most talked about films in such a long long time. twilight.
it was beautiful. i wish sometimes that i were bella and were so in love like her with such a beautiful and magical edward like hers.

we ambled some more towards her house afterward. taking a shortcut through the woodland path. nothing but thoughts of edward and our secret crushes for him were in our minds whirling and whirling around like the biggest tornado. neither her or i needed to even tell each other our thoughts and awe for him. we both knew.
through the woodland pathway, the trees that surrounded us reminded our hearts very much so of the beautiful scenes in the film we were daydreaming of. the coloured skies and twiggy trees and fresh icy air. we were quite in our element.all that was missing was the perfectly wonderful edward cullen to swoop down before us and take us both. running as fast as he could up the tree. with our hearts racing faster than our bodies.our icy fingers felt numb. like our hearts without an edward cullen each. like bella felt with him so close.i had the most amazingly magical time. with the odd girl and our whispers about him and his perfectness. and our emptiness from his fiction. and our before teas. it was the loveliest time spent in our last meet up of this year. hey its the odd girl here, what fun we did have! and of course as the sequined girl has already said, we went to see twilight together. all we did was dream about being high up in the trees, looking down to the earth below. a beautiful film, and i was so happy about how loyal it was to the book. the emotions that were felt throughout the whole book matched the beautiful acting from the cast. i much enjoyed the parts where Bella and Edward were talking, but you couldn't hear what they were saying, so you added in the chapters and conversation from the book you enjoyed the most. the soundtrack to the film was breathtaking, from the 'get up and dance to'- Go all the way (into the twilight) by Perry Farrell to the wonderful- Flightless bird, American mouth by Iron and wine......all we can do now is dream.
"But outside the door to our Spanish class, leaning against the wall — looking more like a Greek god than anyone had a right to — Edward was waiting for me."-Bella Swan, Twilight, Chapter 10, p.206

in a land full of pens

why do we collect things? that is a very good question. is it because these things remind us of certain times, places, people? when i go to visit the sequined girl, i often end up looking at her beautiful desk, and the wonderful bits and pieces that seem to be placed in her pen pots. she took a picture of them.
the odd girl- out of all the bits and bobs in your pen pots, what item has the most special meaning to you?
the sequined girl- my paintbrush that has sparkles, sequins and cake sprinkles stuck to it.

the odd girl- what is the story behind this item?
the sequined girl- for my birthday one year my friend's threw me a doll themed party, and the sprinkles and glitter were scattered all over the table cloth. when the party ended i glued the scattered bits and pieces onto a paper so i would remember. but they all stuck to the paintbrush. and i love it. it is so cute.

the odd girl- is there anything odd sitting in your pots that make you think "why do i have that there?"
the sequined girl- i have a spoon made out of wood in one of my pots. not only am i unsure why it is there, but i am not sure why i have it or even where it came from!
~
hello. the sequined girl here. i went to the odd girl's quirky little nook and she took a photograph of her little pots sandwiched with pens and other things.
the sequined girl- so your pen pots... surely supposed to be filled with pens. what exactly do you have cammed in them?
the odd girl- hmm thats a good question. lots of random stuff i guess, from straws i stole on holiday, a small rubber hand from a halloween party, and even the doctor's screwdriver

the sequined girl- ooh that is random. what's your most favourite piece from your collection of 'random stuff'?
the odd girl- a small yellow candle that is hidden right at the bottom of the jar. its from my last birthday. it was on top of my ice cream.

the sequined girl- what ice cream was it?
the odd girl- a chocolate-fudge-thing...i think..oh and it had loads of cream on top

the sequined girl- so are they all of your pens that sit in those pots? or do you keep them somewhere else?
the odd girl-
i have loads of loose pens in my bag..but i also do have a cute tin my friend brought me with all my other pens/pencils/paintbrushes in. but that lives at uni.

i wonder what other sweet souls out there have collected in their pen pots. are they just pens or are other silly things sneekily hiding through crayons and pencils?
